Nearlings ("we", "us") makes a question & card game for couples. We care about keeping your relationship private. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Nearlings, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Profile details — a display name for you and your partner, and the pairing code used to link your two accounts.
• Your content — the cards you answer, the answers and reactions you leave, and your streak history. This is shared only between you and your linked partner.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active trial or subscription. Payments are processed by Apple; we never see or store your card details.
• Basic usage & diagnostics — anonymized events (for example, "onboarding completed" or "card answered") and crash data to help us improve the app.

How we use your information

• To provide the core experience — pairing you with your partner and syncing your shared cards, answers, streaks, and history.
• To send notifications you enable, such as daily streak reminders and partner activity alerts.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your answers or reactions for advertising.
• We do not share your private content with anyone other than your linked partner.

Storage & retention

Your content is stored on your device and, where syncing is enabled, on our service to deliver it to your partner. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account, which removes your personal data. Unlinking from a partner stops sharing going forward.

Children

Nearlings is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. The Spicy deck contains adult themes.

Your choices

• Control notifications from Settings → Notifications.
• Unlink your partner or delete your account from Settings.
• Manage your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
